Kazakhstan is strengthening its efforts to diversify exports and expand into the markets of Islamic countries. QazTrade CEO Aitmukhammed Aldazharov took part in a high-level roundtable organized by the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), held in connection with OIC Food Security Day 2025.
The event was part of the practical implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between QazTrade and IOFS, signed in September 2025. The document aims to promote Kazakhstani products in the markets of 57 member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, representing more than 1.9 billion consumers, as well as to develop projects in trade, processing, and logistics.
“Partnership with IOFS allows us to build a systematic approach to promoting Kazakhstani agricultural products in the markets of OIC member countries. This is not only about expanding export geography, but also about developing sustainable trade chains, processing, and logistics, which directly impact food security and economic growth,” noted Aitmukhammed Aldazharov.
The cooperation focuses on supplies of grain, meat and dairy products, oil and fat products, and processed goods. QazTrade notes that OIC countries remain one of the key directions for diversifying Kazakhstan’s exports and strengthening the country’s positions in the markets of the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
Exports of Kazakhstani agricultural products increased by 37.9% in January–October 2025, reaching $5.55 billion compared to the same period last year.
