QazTrade Summarized the Results of the Export Acceleration Program for 2025

In 2025, QazTrade, a subordinate organization of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, continued the implementation of the export acceleration program aimed at comprehensive preparation of domestic companies for entering foreign markets.

The program covers the entire exporter’s journey — from initial diagnostics and training to negotiation support and the signing of export contracts.

120 Companies and 14 Economic Sectors

By the end of the year, 120 companies from 14 sectors of the economy participated in the program. These included the food industry, mechanical engineering, light industry, chemical industry, pharmaceuticals and medicine, metallurgy, IT services, production of construction materials, electronics, and services.

The largest representation was in the food industry — 39 companies, mechanical engineering — 25, chemical industry — 18, light industry — 9, medicine and pharmaceuticals — 8, as well as IT services and the service sector — 9 companies.

Expansion of Geography and Target Markets

In 2025, the program was significantly expanded both in terms of sectoral coverage and geography. While previously the main focus was on the food industry and IT sector, in the reporting year the acceleration program covered 14 sectors and targeted 8 priority markets.

Priority destinations included Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Italy. This approach made it possible to diversify export destinations and reduce dependence on individual markets.

Training, Support, and Export Contracts

Within the program, companies completed training and export diagnostics, received consulting and service support, and were assisted in entering foreign markets. In addition, participants underwent practical training in China and South Korea.

As a practical result of participation, export contracts totaling USD 180 million were signed by the end of 2025.

Trade and Economic Missions Abroad

Alongside the export acceleration program, participating companies took part in trade and economic missions organized by QazTrade. During the year, 10 TEMs were conducted abroad, including Iran, Hungary, China (Xi’an, Chongqing, Guangzhou), Afghanistan, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Pakistan.

These missions helped establish direct contacts with foreign partners and accelerate the entry of Kazakhstani products into new markets.

Growth in the Number of Exporters and the Role of SMEs

Overall, by the end of 2025, the number of active exporters in Kazakhstan reached 1,000 companies. At the same time, around 80% of participants in support programs were small and medium-sized enterprises, and more than 60% of companies represented the food industry.

A Key Non-Financial Export Support Tool

QazTrade’s export acceleration program remains one of the key non-financial export support tools. The program is focused on practical results and the formation of sustainable export competencies among Kazakhstani producers, contributing to the strengthening of the country’s positions in international markets and the diversification of foreign trade.
