Today, in the city of Hefei — the administrative center of China’s Anhui province — the official opening of QazTrade’s representative office took place. QazTrade is the national institute for foreign trade development under the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The opening ceremony was led by Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev and QazTrade CEO Aitmukhamed Aldazharov.

The new office in China is expected to strengthen Kazakhstan’s export presence and open opportunities for cooperation with China’s Top 500 companies. The representative office will focus on promoting Kazakhstani products, attracting business partners, and implementing joint projects on trade digitalization and deep processing of goods in Kazakhstan.

Anhui province ranks among China’s leading industrial and logistics centers. It hosts major technological clusters and enterprises that define the direction of the country’s economic development. The choice of Hefei as the location for QazTrade’s representative office underscores the strategic nature of cooperation between the two countries.
“Given Anhui’s potential and its leadership in digital trade, we see great prospects for promoting Kazakhstani goods. Together with China’s Top 500 companies and with the support of the provincial government, we will develop projects in trade digitalization, deep processing, and export expansion to Central Asian countries. Kazakhstan and China are entering a new stage of cooperation based on mutual technologies, digital solutions, and industrial integration. QazTrade is becoming the driver of this new model of trade,” said Aldazharov.
The current trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Anhui province is estimated at about USD 2.2 billion, accounting for nearly 5% of Kazakhstan’s total trade with China. Both sides believe this figure could increase several times through deeper industrial cooperation and trade digitalization.
