Kazakhstan was officially visited by a delegation of the China Association of Private Science and Technology Industrialists (CAPSTI) led by Chairman Ou Yongchao. The association unites the largest companies in China with a turnover of over 1 trillion yuan and is considered one of the country’s most influential business structures. The meeting gave new momentum to the development of trade relations between Kazakhstan and China.
The delegation included more than 30 executives of leading Chinese companies. The purpose of the visit was to explore investment opportunities in Kazakhstan and discuss cooperation prospects in industrial modernization, green energy, and the digital economy.
On the Kazakhstan side, negotiations were led by QazTrade CEO Aitmukhammad Aldazharov and Managing Director for Export Development Aynur Amirbekova.
Kazakhstan presented projects in mechanical engineering and construction (“Astana Safety Technologies,” “OzonGroup,” “Sigma Solutions,” etc.), as well as in the food industry, from flour mills to beverage and confectionery producers (“Karat LLP,” “7 Colibri,” “Apple Bee,” etc.).
Chinese companies, in turn, expressed interest in supplying metal structures, cable products, radiators, boiler equipment, as well as importing Kazakh flour, pasta, chocolate, and fruit syrups. This interest confirms the high potential for cooperation and became the basis for further agreements.
The negotiations marked an important step towards a long-term strategic partnership within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue exchanging information and to conduct additional negotiations with companies. The conclusion of major export contracts is expected.
