Over the past year, trade between Kazakhstan and Pakistan has more than doubled, and now it is time to consolidate this progress in practice. In the near future, Kazakhstani entrepreneurs will travel to Karachi on a trade and economic mission. Among the companies interested in participating are producers of soft drinks, paints and coatings, energy equipment, and others.
“Our enterprises view Pakistan as a promising market for the supply of food, agricultural, and industrial products,” QazTrade representatives noted.
Ahead of the mission, an online seminar was held to discuss the specifics of operating in the Pakistani market. The platform for this discussion, “Business Opportunities of Pakistan,” was organized by QazTrade in cooperation with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan.
Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin emphasized that the potential for cooperation between the two countries remains high. According to him, Kazakhstani companies can successfully compete in the Pakistani market not only in the food sector but also in services such as education and transport-logistics solutions.
During the online meeting, participants also discussed practical issues such as simplifying logistics and visa procedures, as well as developing joint ventures. These topics proved to be among the most relevant for Kazakhstani manufacturers.
According to QazTrade, during January–September 2025, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Pakistan reached USD 95.8 million — 2.3 times higher than a year earlier. Kazakhstan’s exports grew 6.1 times to reach USD 56 million, mainly due to supplies of oil, pulses, and flax seeds. Imports from Pakistan increased by almost 20% to USD 39.8 million, driven primarily by shipments of potatoes, textiles, and citrus fruits.
