Kazakhstan strengthens its export presence in Hunan

A representative office of QazTrade and the Association of Consulting Companies has opened in Hunan Province. This event became a new step in the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of government agencies and businesses of Kazakhstan and China, including QazTrade Deputy Director General Bauyrzhan Gaisa, President of the Association Ayan Erenov, Director of the Almaty Chamber of Entrepreneurs Chingiskhan Mamanov, and the representative of Hunan Province Deng Weiping.

Hunan is one of China’s largest industrial and logistics centers and a key region of the Belt and Road Initiative. In the first nine months of 2025, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the province reached 383.3 million USD. Kazakhstan exports more than 15 types of goods here — from flax seeds and vegetable oils to non-ferrous metals and processed products.

“We now see potential in the agro-industrial sector, logistics, and IT. Chinese partners are also increasingly interested in processed and environmentally friendly Kazakhstani products. This creates new opportunities for the export of goods with added value,” said Bauyrzhan Gaisa.

According to Ayan Erenov, the cooperation between QazTrade and the Association of Consulting Companies unites the resources and expertise of both sides to help Kazakhstani businesses enter the Hunan market and attract Chinese investment to Kazakhstan.

A joint showroom of Kazakhstani products is also planned to be opened in Changsha. It will feature goods ranging from organic food products to metallurgical and IT products.

“The showroom will become a living showcase of Kazakhstan and an effective tool for promoting our goods in China,” added QazTrade Deputy Director General Bauyrzhan Gaisa.

QazTrade is the national operator for foreign trade development under the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The organization helps businesses enter foreign markets, removes barriers, and supports export transactions. China and Hunan Province are among the priority areas of the export acceleration program.
