To which countries and how much grain Kazakhstan plans to export in the current marketing year, said Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov said at a briefing in the CCS.
“The export potential of grain and flour for the 2020/2021 marketing year will be about 7.5-8 million tons,” said Aydarbek Saparov. At the same time, the Vice-Minister said which countries are planning to export grain to.
“If we talk about the market, these are the countries of Central Asia: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, as well as Afghanistan and Iran. In general, this year it is planned to export grain to 40 countries of the world,” added Aidarbek Saparov.
Earlier he said what grain harvest Kazakhstan expects to gain this year. “According to operational data, 1.3 million tonnes were received for storage by licensed grain-receiving enterprises, which is only 11% of the total threshed grain amount in the Republic, including wheat – 920.7 thousand tons, soft wheat – 897.6 million tons, durum wheat – 23.1 million tons ”, – said Aidarbek Saparov.
It was noted that the projected volume of grain production is 18 million tons.
