Kazakhstan expands exports to Saudi Arabia: from food products to high technologies

QazTrade and the General Authority for Foreign Trade of Saudi Arabia (GAFT) agreed to hold a business mission in November 2025 with direct meetings between Kazakhstani producers and KSA retailers, participation of accredited exporters, and discussions on launching direct cargo flights.

As part of the forum, the Trade Policy Development Center “QazTrade” held a meeting with the General Authority for Foreign Trade of Saudi Arabia (GAFT). The parties discussed expanding export cooperation and confirmed their readiness to work together on practical mechanisms to bring Kazakhstani products to the Kingdom’s market.

Kazakhstani technologies were also showcased in the segment of industrial AI solutions. BESTVision Technologies presented an AI-based industrial safety platform. The system detects safety violations in real time, monitors PPE usage, alerts about risks, and ensures transparency of production processes. The solution is already applied in energy, metallurgy, and oil & gas enterprises and has been adapted for GCC markets, including Saudi Arabia.

“For us, such events are very useful: they provide an understanding of markets, export requirements, and business conditions. We already have partners in Saudi Arabia, and at this meeting we managed to expand our contacts — several companies expressed interest in cooperation and in applying Kazakhstani AI solutions,” said Alexey Vladimirov, founder of BESTVision Technologies.

“Saudi Arabia is one of the key markets for promoting products from Kazakhstan. Following the negotiations, we agreed to hold the second trade mission in Riyadh in November 2025. Its program includes participation of accredited exporters of honey, meat, and apples, direct B2B meetings with leading retailers of the Kingdom, as well as discussions on launching direct cargo flights between our countries,” emphasized Ainura Amirbekova, Managing Director of QazTrade.

Leading players in the oil & gas and mining industries, including the global leader Saudi Aramco, showed interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan. Participants of the export acceleration program presented technological solutions, including cable system casings, which generated strong demand. Significant interest also came from the engineering sector.

The upcoming mission will become a logical continuation of QazTrade’s systematic efforts to promote Kazakhstani goods to the Middle Eastern market. In the context of growing demand for natural food products and modern technological solutions, Saudi Arabia is considered one of the priority export markets for domestic companies.

Thus, the November business mission in Riyadh will not only strengthen the positions of Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial products but also mark a new stage of entry of domestic companies into the Middle Eastern market — from food products to high-tech solutions.
