On June 5, Astana will host the юбилейная Fifth International “FOC 2026: Fats and Oils Conference”. The event is organized by the National Association of Oilseed Processors of Kazakhstan (NAOPK), with APK-Inform Asia acting as the генеральный media partner.
Today, the fats and oils sector is one of the most important and promising segments of Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex, demonstrating steady growth. Thanks to government support aimed at developing the agro-industrial sector, as well as the effective strategy of NAOPK, Kazakhstan has strengthened its position as a major exporter of fats and oils products over the past four years. By the end of 2025, exports of fats and oils products reached a record level of $962 million in foreign currency revenue.
Since 2023, Kazakhstan has entered the TOP-10 global exporters of sunflower oil (ranking 8th in 2023 and 2024), and according to 2025 data, it has risen to 6th place worldwide.
At the same time, Kazakhstan fully supplies sunflower meal to Central Asian countries and ranks among the TOP-3 exporters of this product to the European Union. To further strengthen export positions, a Roadmap for the development of fats and oils exports for 2026–2028 was developed and approved in December 2025 with the joint participation of NAOPK, the International Trade Centre (ITC), and QazTrade JSC.
In this context, taking into account the opportunities of the selected development strategy for Kazakhstan’s fats and oils sector, the “FOC 2026: Fats and Oils Conference” will serve as a platform to discuss future prospects, challenges, and ways to address them.
The event will bring together key market participants: producers of fats and oils products (including executives from more than 50 oil processing plants in Kazakhstan), agricultural producers, representatives of government bodies, financial institutions, major international organizations, importers, logistics companies, and related industries.
