The agreement was formalized through a document signed during the official visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Japan. The agreement was concluded between the Kazakh company Dynasty Agro and the Japanese company Fairbay Inc. Jateco Group.
The companies have been cooperating for four years. During this period, several hundred tons of products were supplied to Japan. The new agreement will allow export volumes to increase to 3,000 tons. The expansion of processed product exports by small and medium-sized enterprises is becoming a устойчивый trend for Kazakhstan. The case of flaxseed oil exports to Japan reflects the transition from a raw-material model to value-added products — a priority repeatedly emphasized by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Addresses to the Nation.
“Kazakh flaxseed oil is highly valued in Japan for its quality and natural origin. Our company is participating in QazTrade’s Export Acceleration Program 2025. We expect that support from state export institutions will help expand the presence of Kazakh products in the Japanese market,” said company representative Dmitry Kim.
Dynasty Agro is a small enterprise from the North Kazakhstan Region specializing in the cultivation and processing of flax. The company’s product range includes flaxseed oil, oil cake, and seeds. All products undergo strict quality control, and each batch is fully traceable.
The expansion of processed product exports contributes to the diversification of Kazakhstan’s agricultural exports and strengthens the country’s position in niche segments of the Japanese market. This is also confirmed by overall statistics: in January–October 2025, exports of Kazakh agricultural products increased by 37.9%, reaching USD 5.55 billion compared to the same period last year.
“The flaxseed oil market demonstrates steady growth in demand. It is one of the few crops that enables the development of a deep value-added chain. Dynasty Agro has become a participant in QazTrade’s ‘Export Acceleration – 2025’ program,” — PhD, Managing Director for Export Development at QazTrade, Ainur Amirbekova.
