Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the EAEU countries in January-June 2020 amounted to $ 8.7 billion, which is 11% lower than in the same period of the previous year ($ 9.8 billion).

Exports from Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries in January – June 2020 decreased by 20.2% and amounted to $ 2.4 billion US dollars.

The reduction in exports to the EAEU countries is justified by a decrease in the supply of such goods as: non-alloyed steel hot flat-rolled articles – by 48.3% or by $ 100.9 million US (from 209.0 to 108.1 million dollars ), iron-and-steel waste and scrap – by 66.8% or by 69.3 million US dollars  (from 103.7 to 34.4 million US dollars ), natural gas – by 34.4% or by 46.7 million US dollars (from 135.7 to 89.0 million dollars ), raw zinc – by 57.7% or 45 million USD (from 78.0 to 33.0 million dollars ), oil products – by 52.8% or by 44.2 million US dollar  (from 83.7 to 39.5 million US dollars).

At the same time, there is an increase in the supply of such goods as: ores and precious metal concentrates – by 89.3% or by 102.8 million US dollars  (from 115.1 to 217.9 million US dollars ), rolling stock components – an increase by 4.4 times or by $ 51.5 million US (from 15.3 to 66.9 million US dollars ), zinc ores and concentrates – by 68.3% or by 20.9 million US dollars  (from 30.6 to 51.5 million US dollars ), plastic waste, cuttings and scrap – an increase by 13.3 times or 12.9 million US dollars  (from 1.0 to 13.9 million US dollars ), titanium and articles thereof – an increase by 2.2 times or 7.3 million US dollars  (from 5.9 to 13.2 million US dollars).

The main  goods exported from Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries are: iron ores and concentrates – $ 240.9 million  (with a share of 10.1%), ores and precious metal concentrates – 217.9 million US dollars (9.1%), copper ores and concentrates – 154.3 million US dollars  (6.5%), non-alloyed steel clad flat-rolled articles – 120.7 mln. USD  (5%), uranium – 119.3 million US dollars  (5%), hard coal – 109.6 million US dollars (4.6%), non-alloyed steel hot flat-rolled articles  – 108.1 mln. USD  (4.5%), natural gas – 89 million US dollar  (3.7%), non-alloyed steel cold flat-rolled articles – 83.4 mln. USD  (3.5%), rolling stock components – 66.9 million US dollars (2.8%).

Imports to Kazakhstan from the EAEU countries in January – June 2020 decreased by 7% and amounted to $ 6.3 billion US dollars.

The decrease in imports from the EAEU countries is justified by a decrease in the import of such goods as: freight railroad carriages or tram cars – by 66.6% or by 73.1 million dollars. (from 109.7 to 36.6 million US dollars ), ferrous welded pipes and tubes – by 68.5% or 61.7 million US dollars  (from 90.1 to 28.4 million US dollars ), trucks – by 81.5% or 56.9 million US dollars (from 69.8 to 12.9 million US dollars ), passenger cars – by 26% or 49.3 million US dollars  (from 189.2 to 139.9 million US dollars ), tractors and truck trailers – by 58.4% or by 41.1 million US dollars  (from 70.5 to 29.3 million US dollars), seamless ferrous pipes, tubes and profiles – by 30.5% or by 35.2 million US dollars (from 115.4 to 80.3 million US dollars ), non-self-propelled railway carriages or tram cars – by 99.6% or by 25 million US dollars  (from 25.1 to 0.1 million US dollars ).

At the same time, there is an increase in imports of such goods as: gold (including gold with platinum electroplating) raw or semi-finished or in powder form – by 56.4% or by 45.3 million US dollars (from $ 80.2 to 125.5 million US dollars) ), sugar – by 78.1% or by 36.4 million US dollars (from 46.6 to 82.9 million US dollars ), car bodies – by 64.1% or 33.9 million US dollars  (from 52.9 to 86.9 million US dollars ), tobacco and tobacco substitutes, tobacco extracts and essences – an increase by 2.1 times or 33.3 million US dollars  (from 31.3 to 64.6 million US dollars ), rapeseed – an increase by 14.3 times or 28.1 million US dollars  (from 2.1 to 30.2 million US dollars).

The main imports to Kazakhstan from the EAEU countries are: natural gas – $ 184.9 million  (with a share of 2.9%), oil products – $ 174.1 million.  (2.7%), ores and precious metal concentrates – 167.8 million US dollars (2.6%), passenger cars – 139.9 million US dollars (2.2%), gold (including gold plated with platinum), raw or semi-finished, or in the form of powder – 125.5 million US dollars (2%), tires – 105.5 million US dollars  (1.7%), non-alloyed steel semi-finished articles – 103 mln. USD  (1.6%), coke and semi-coke – 92.4 million US dollars  (1.5%).
