The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Armenia in January-August 2020 amounted to 8.7 million US dollars,which is 24.3% higher than in the same period of the previous year (7.0 million US dollars ).

Exports from Kazakhstan to Armenia in January-August 2020 increased by 68.7% and amounted to 4.5 million US dollars.

The growth of exports to Armenia is justified by an increase in the supply of such goods as: ferroalloys – by 1,6 million  US dollars (from 0 to 1.6 million US dollars), non-alloyed steel clad flat-rolled articles – by 1.1 million US dollars  (from 0 to 1.1 million US dollars ), pork – on of 94.4% or $ 301.2 thousand USA dollars. (from 319.0 to 620.2 thousand US dollars).

At the same time, there is a decrease in export supplies of such goods as: animal feed products – by 100% or by 181,6 thousand US dollars (from 181.6 to 0.0 thousand US dollars. ), electrical transformers – by 73% or by 136.1 thousand US dollars  (from 186.5 to 50.4 thousand USA dollars ), centrifuges, equipment and devices for filtering liquids or gases – by 100% or by 122,1 thousand US dollars  (from 122.1 to 0.0 thousand US dollars ), live cattle – by 20.5% or 93.5 thousand US dollars (from 456.0 to 362.6 thousand US dollars ).

The main export goods from Kazakhstan to Armenia are: ferroalloys – 1,6 million US dollars  (with a share of 36.4%), non-alloyed steel clad flat-rolled articles – 1.1 million US dollars  (23.9%), pork – 620.2 thousand US dollars (13.7%), live cattle – 362.6 thousand US dollars  (8%), electric batteries – 278.4 thousand US dollars (6.1%), sugar confectionery (including white chocolate) – 103.3 thousand US dollars  (2.3%), plastic construction parts – 78.3 thousand US dollars  (1.7%), electric batteries – 50.4 thousand US dollars  (1.1%), chocolate and other finished food products containing cocoa – 49.3 thousand US dollars  (1.1%), toilet paper, handkerchiefs, napkins and similar products – 47,7 thousand US dollars  (1.1%). Imports to Kazakhstan from Armenia in January-August 2020 decreased by 3.2% and amounted to 4.2 million US dollars.

The reduction in imports from Armenia is justified by a decrease in the import of such goods as jewelry and parts thereof made of precious metals or metals clad with precious metals – by 61% or by 987,9 thousand US dollars (from 1,618.6 to 630.7 thousand US dollars ), vaccines, blood serum, blood – by 86.5%, or 209.5 thousand US dollars (from 242.2 to 32.6 thousand US dollars ), liquid pumps – by 100% or 72,3 thousand US dollars  (from 72.3 to 0.0 thousand US dollars ), glasses – by 100% or 65 thousand US dollars  (from 65.0 to 0.0 thousand US dollars ), stone processed for monuments or construction and items thereof – by 98.8% or 63.4 thousand US dollars  (from 64.2 to 0.8 thousand US dollars. ), chocolate and other finished food products containing cocoa – by 96.2% or 52 thousand US dollars  (from 54.0 to 2.0 thousand US dollars ), furniture and accessories – by 93.2% or by 34 thousand US dollars  (from 36.5 to 2.5 thousand US dollars ).

At the same time, there is an increase in imports of such goods as: freight railroad carriages or tram cars – by 380 thousand US dollars  (from 0 to 380.0 thousand US dollars ), plastic construction parts – by 193,3 thousand US dollars  (from 0 to 193.3 thousand US dollars ), medicines packaged for retail sale – an increase of 5.2 times or by 120.3 thousand US dollars  (from 28.5 to 148.8 thousand US dollars ), strong alcoholic drinks – by 6.4% or by 96.7 thousand US dollars  (from 1,514.1 to 1,610.8 thousand US dollars ), glass containers – by 73,7 thousand US dollars  (from 0 to 73.7 thousand US dollars ).

The main imports to Kazakhstan from Armenia are: spirits – 1.6 million US dollars (with a share of 38.5%), jewelry and accessories made of precious metals or metals clad with precious metals – 630.7 thousand US dollars (15.1%), freight railroad carriages or tram cars – 380 thousand US dollars  (9.1%), plastic construction parts – 193.3 thousand US dollars (4.6%), medicines prepackaged for retail sale – 148.8 thousand US dollars  (3.6%), fruit and vegetable juices – 124 thousand US dollars (3%), gas, water, and electricity supply meters  – 102.5 thousand US dollars (2.4%), waters, including mineral and carbonated ones, with sugar – 100.9 thousand US dollars (2.4%).
