Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in January-June 2020 amounted to $ 356.5 million USD, which is 16.1% lower than in the same period of the previous year (424.7 mln. US dollars USD).

Exports from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan in January-June 2020 decreased by 15.3% and amounted to $ 247.0 million US dollars.

The decrease in exports to Kyrgyzstan is justified by a decrease in the supply of such goods as: oil products – by 33.1% or by 10.3 million US dollars (from 31.0 to 20.8 million US dollars ), wheat – by 63.5% or 9.6 million US dollars (from 15.1 to 5.5 million US dollars ), other railway locomotives – by 100% or by 7.6 million US dollars (from 7.6 to 0.0 million US dollars ), tobacco products – by 22.3% or by 4.9 million US dollars (from $ 21.9 to 17.0 million US dollars ), coke and petroleum bitumen – by 99.8% or 3.3 million US  dollars (from 3.3 to 0.0 million US dollars).

At the same time, there is an increase in the supply of such goods as: wheat flour – by 98.7% or by 5.8 million US dollars. (from 5.9 to 11.7 million US dollars ), bituminous coal – by 85.1%, or 4 million US dollars. (from 4.7 to 8.7 million US dollars ), trucks – an increase by 5.1 times or by 2.6 million US dollars (from 0.6 to 3.3 million US dollars ), consoles, panels, tables for electrical equipment – an increase by 15.3 times or by 2.4 million US dollars (from 0.2 to 2.6 million US dollars), cement – by 27.5% or 2.1 million US dollars (from 7.5 to 9.6 million US dollars).

The main export goods from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan are: natural gas – 22.9 million US dollars  (with a share of 9.3%), oil products – 20.8 million US dollars (8.4%), tobacco products – 17 million US dollars (6.9%), wheat flour – 11.7 million US dollars (4.7%), waters, including mineral and carbonated ones, with sugar – 9.9 million US dollars (4%), cement – 9.6 million US dollars (3.9%), hygiene items for women and children – 8.8 million US dollars (3.6%), bituminous coal – 8.7 million US dollars (3.5%), non-alloyed steel clad flat-rolled articles – 5.6 million US dollars (2.3%), wheat – 5.5 million US dollars (2.2%).

Imports to Kazakhstan from Kyrgyzstan in January – June 2020 decreased by 17.7% and amounted to $ 109.5 million US dollars.

The reduction in imports from Kyrgyzstan is justified by a decrease in the import of such goods as: ores and other concentrates – by 100% or by 8.5 million US dollars (from 8.5 to 0.0 million US dollars ), shoes with genuine leather uppers – 100% or 4 million US dollars (from 4.0 to 0.0 million US dollars ), components of rolling stock – by 83.8% or by 3.7 million US dollars (from 4.4 to 0.7 million US dollars ), oil products – by 80.6% or by 2.1 million US dollars (from 2.6 to 0.5 million US dollars ), unglazed ceramic tiles – by 57.9% or by 1.7 million US dollars (from $ 2.9 to 1.2 million US dollars ), men’s textile shirts – by 100%, or by 1.6 million US dollars (from 1.6 to 0.0 million US dollars ), polished glass – by 22.3%, or 1.5 million US dollars (from 6.8 to 5.3 million US dollars).

At the same time, there is an increase in imports of such goods as: ores and precious metal concentrates – by 10.5% or by 4.8 million US dollars (from 45.4 to 50.1 million US dollars ), cheese and cottage cheese – an increase by 4.2 times or by 1.9 million US dollars (from 0.6 to 2.5 million US dollars ), condensed and dried milk and cream – an increase by 4.2 times or by 1.7 million US dollars (from 0.5 to 2.2 million US dollars ), tires – an increase by 13.5 times or by 1.6 million US dollars (from 0.1 to 1.7 million US dollars ), plastic containers – by 30.6% or by 1.3 million US dollars (from 4.1 to 5.4 million US dollars).

The main import goods to Kazakhstan from Kyrgyzstan are: ores and precious metal concentrates – 50.1 million US dollars (with a share of 45.8%), bread and pastry, flour confectionery products – 5.7 million US dollars (5.2%), plastic containers – 5.4 million US dollars (4.9%), polished glass – 5.3 million US dollars (4.8%), cheeses and cottage cheese – 2.5 million US dollars (2.3%), seamless pipes, tubes and profiles made of ferrous metals – 2.3 million US dollars (2.1%), condensed and dried milk and cream –  2.2 million US dollars (2%), lighting equipment – 2.1 million US dollars (2%).
