One of the tools to support exports in Kazakhstan is state assistance in taking Kazakhstan’s enterprises to the Alibaba.com international trading platform. The QazTrade JSC under the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an operator of this type of support.
In 2020, 100 domestic manufacturing enterprises provided with the Gold Supplier account were taken to the patform. As part of the program, companies receive full support in training and doing business on the platform.
At the moment, more than 4 thousand Kazakhstan’s goods are placed on this trading platform: pasta, flour, honey, confectionery, meat, drinks, vegetable oils, furniture, clothing, goods for children and much more.
The participants of the program on access to the Alibaba.com platform have already signed export contracts for $ 45 million. The customers were buyers from China, Macedonia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, the EAEU countries and Central Asia.
Through the Alibaba.com platform, Kazakhstan’s exporters are also negotiating with the countries of Southeast Asia (food products), the Middle East (honey, meat products). The CIS countries are showing interest in such types of goods as filters, textiles, and electrical equipment.
In the near future, it is planned to start selection within the third phase of the Program: in 2021, another 50 companies will receive an account on the international trading platform Alibaba.com.
