Joint Stock Company “Center for Trade Policy Development “QazTrade” announces on August 7, 2025 a competitive selection for an Independent Director of the Board of Directors (hereinafter – the BD) of the Joint Stock Company “Center for Trade Policy Development “QazTrade”.

Main activities of JSC “CTPD “QazTrade”:
- Providing analytical, consulting, informational, and technical support within the framework of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s membership in the WTO, the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as cooperation and interaction with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development;
- Conducting research in the field of trade, domestic and electronic commerce;
- Analyzing foreign markets;
- Providing support and organizing activities to promote domestic processed goods and services to foreign markets;
- Interacting with domestic, foreign, and international organizations on issues of promoting the export of domestic processed goods and services;
- Providing services to the authorized body in the field of foreign trade regulation for reimbursement of part of the expenses of industrial and innovative activity entities for promoting domestic processed goods to foreign markets, etc.
Requirements for candidates for the BD Independent Director The competitive selection for Independent Directors of the BD of organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – SO) is conducted in order to find candidates meeting the following requirements: – Possess the necessary professional knowledge and experience in management, corporate law, finance, or other areas important for the work of the SO; – Not be an affiliated person of the SO and not have been such within three years preceding their election to the BD (except in the case of holding the position of Independent Director of the SO), and not be an affiliated person in relation to affiliated persons of the SO; – Not be subordinate to the officials of the SO or organizations affiliated with the SO and not have been subordinate to them within three years preceding their election to the BD; – Not be a public servant; – Not be a representative of the sole shareholder at the meetings of the SO bodies and not have been such within three years preceding their election to the BD; – Not participate in the audit of the SO as an auditor working in an auditing organization, and not have participated in such an audit within three years preceding their election to the BD, as well as meet other requirements established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan; – Not be in an employment relationship with the SO and its subsidiaries; – Not have financial or other obligations to the SO. Cannot be elected to the position of a member of the BD of the SO a person: 1) who has an unexpunged or outstanding conviction; 2) who previously served as chairman of the board of directors, head of the executive body, deputy head, chief accountant of another legal entity during the period not more than one year before the decision on compulsory liquidation or compulsory buyout of shares, or conservation of another legal entity recognized as bankrupt in the prescribed manner. This requirement applies for five years after the date of the decision on compulsory liquidation or compulsory buyout of shares, or conservation of another legal entity recognized as bankrupt in the prescribed manner; 3) who has committed a corruption crime. - Application for participation in the form according to Appendix 1 to these Rules;
- Candidate’s resume;
- Copy of the candidate’s identity document;
- Copy of the document on higher education;
- Copy of the document confirming the employee’s work activity in accordance with Article 35 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2015;
- Documents confirming the absence of criminal record and corruption offenses, obtained from state information systems;
- Information about the candidate completed in the form according to Appendix 2 to these Rules.
The candidate may provide additional information regarding their education, work experience, professional level (copies of documents on advanced training, awarding of academic degrees and titles, scientific publications, recommendations from the management of the previous place of work). Document acceptance start date: August 7, 2025. Envelope formation: The candidate places the original application in an envelope marked “Original”. This envelope indicates the last name, first name, patronymic (if any), and address of the Candidate. After that, the envelope is sealed in an outer envelope. The inner and outer envelopes must:
- Be addressed to the SO at the address specified in the announcement posted on the SO’s website;
- Contain the words “Selection of Independent Directors of the Board of Directors of the SO” and “Do not open until” (the date and time of opening the envelopes indicated in the announcement posted on the SO’s website).
The application is sent to the address specified in the announcement.
