QazTrade Acceleration Presented in Turkmenistan

Kazakhstan took part in the UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC), held in Awaza, Turkmenistan. As part of the event, participants of QazTrade’s “Export Acceleration – 2025” program showcased their products.

The participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, underscored the high importance the country places on trade connectivity and regional cooperation.

At Kazakhstan’s national pavilion, companies from the processed agro-industrial sector, food industry, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, and export-oriented innovations were presented. Participants demonstrated a wide range of products and their potential to enter international markets.

One of the key moments of the conference was the speech by Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Asset Nussupov, who noted:

“As the largest landlocked country, we have turned geographical constraints into strategic advantages.”

He stressed that Kazakhstan is actively investing in infrastructure and digital solutions: the “KEDEN” system has been introduced, and a digital trade corridor has been created. This allowed for a 63% increase in cargo flows along the Middle Corridor and a doubling of container shipments in 2024. Trade turnover with SPECA countries reached $10 billion, with plans to double it in the coming years. In 2024, the e-commerce market grew by 60%, reaching $6 billion.

Kazakhstani companies’ products attracted strong interest from international delegations and received high praise for their quality and compliance with international standards.

“Participation in the conference provides broad opportunities for establishing B2B contacts, presenting Kazakhstani brands, and strengthening the country’s image as a reliable and promising trading partner on the global stage,” said Alimzhan Umarov, Chief Manager of QazTrade’s Export Acceleration and Training Group.
