Exports from Kazakhstan to Belarus in January – August 2020 decreased by 41.7 % and amounted to 41.8 million US dollars.
The decrease in exports to Belarus is justified by a decrease in the supply of such goods as: oil products – by 77.6 % or by 20.1 million US dollars (from 25.9 to 5.8 million US dollars ), natural gas – by 85.5 % or 9.6 million US dollars (from 11.2 to 1.6 million US dollars ), raw aluminum – by 94% or 3 million US dollars (from 3.2 to 0.2 million US dollars ), flax seeds – by 100% or by 1,7 million US dollars (from 1.7 to 0.0 million US dollars ), non-alloyed steel clad flat-rolled articles – by 81.2 % or 1.1 million US dollars (from 1.4 to 0.3 million US dollars ).
At the same time, there is an increase in the supply of such goods as: coal – by 56.5 % or by 3.7 million US dollars (from 6.5 to 10.2 million US dollars ), uncombed cotton fiber – by 66.4 % or by 1.8 million US dollars (from 2.7 to 4.4 million US dollars ), rails – an increase by 2.1 times or by 1.6 million US dollars (from 1.5 to 3.0 million US dollars ), cast iron – by 1,1 million US dollars (from 0 to 1.1 million US dollars ), ferro-alloys – an increase by 3.2 times or by 923.2 thousand US dollars (from 426.3 to 1,349.4 thousand US dollars ).
The main export goods from Kazakhstan to Belarus are: coal – 10,2 million US dollars (with a share of 24.3%), oil products – 5.8 million US dollars (13.8%), uncombed cotton fiber – 4.4 million US dollars (10.6%), rails – 3 million US dollars (7.3%), raw zinc by 2.9 million US dollars (7%), non-alloyed steel cold flat-rolled articles – 2.1 million US dollars (5.1%), natural gas – 1.6 million US dollar (3.9%), ferro-alloys – 1.3 million US dollars (3.2%), cast iron – 1.1 million US dollars (2.6%), melons, watermelons and papaya, fresh – 744.6 thousand US dollars (1.8%). Imports to Kazakhstan from Belarus in January-August 2020 decreased by 12.1% and amounted to 378.3 million US dollars.
The reduction in imports from Belarus is justified by a decrease in the import of such goods as: tractors and truck trailers – by 59.5% or by 29.9 million US dollars (from 50.2 to 20.4 million US dollars ), trucks – by 88.9% or 16.8 million US dollars (from 18.9 to 2.1 million US dollars ), machines and mechanisms for harvesting and threshing crops – by 30.7% or 8.9 million US dollars (from 29.2 to 20.1 million US dollars ), wallpaper and similar wall coverings – by 80% or 7.5 million US dollars (from 9.4 to 1.9 million US dollars ), other furniture and accessories – by 25.3 % or 4.5 million US dollars (from 17.9 to 13.4 million US dollars ), non-self-propelled railway carriages or tram cars – by 100% or by 3,7 million US dollars (from 3.7 to 0.0 million US dollars ), oil products – by 85.7% or by 3.6 million US dollars (from 4.2 to 0.6 million US dollars ).
At the same time, there is an increase in imports of such goods as: fresh or chilled beef – an increase by 2.1 times or 13.2 million US dollars (from 12.5 to 25.7 million US dollars ), sugar – an increase by 2.2 times or by 12.9 million US dollars (from 10.8 to 23.7 million US dollars ), medicines packaged for retail sale – by 64.8 % or 5.8 million US dollars (from 8.9 to 14.7 million US dollars ), condensed and powdered milk and cream – by 26.4% or 5.7 million US dollars. The main goods imported to Kazakhstan from Belarus are: condensed and dry milk and cream – 27.1 million US dollars (with a share of 7.2%), fresh or chilled beef – 25.7 million US dollars (6.8%), sugar – 23.7 million US dollars (6.3%), tractors and truck trailers – 20.4 million US dollars (5.4%), machines and mechanisms for harvesting and threshing crops – 20.1 million US dollars (5.3%), medicines packaged for retail sale – 14.7 million US dollars (3.9%), other furniture and its parts – 13.4 million US dollars (3.5%), cheese and cottage cheese – 11,5 million US dollars (3%).
