Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the EAEU countries in January-July 2020 amounted to 10.4 billion US dollars , which is 11.1% lower than in the same period of the previous year (11.7 billion US dollars ).

Exports from Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries in January – June 2020 decreased by 19.4% and amounted to 2.8 billion US dollars.
The reduction in exports to the EAEU countries is justified by a decrease in the supply of such goods as: non-alloyed steel hot flat-rolled articles – by 45.4% or by 114.8 million US dollars (from 252.5 to 137.7 million US dollars ), iron-and-steel waste and scrap – by 71.8% or by 91.7 million US dollars (from 127.8 to 36.1 million US dollars ), iron ores and concentrates – by 16% or 54,3 million US dollars (from 339.2 to 284.9 million US dollars ), natural gas – by 33.7% or by 53.1 million US dollars (from 157.8 to 104.7 million US dollars ), raw zinc – by 56% or 50.8 million US dollars (from 90.6 to 39.8 million US dollars ).
At the same time, there is an increase in the supply of such goods as: ores and precious metal concentrates – by 94.1% or by 126 million US dollars (from 133.9 to 259.8 million US dollars ), rolling stock components – an increase by 4 times or 55 million US dollars (from 18.1 to 73.1 million US dollars ), zinc ores and concentrates – by 60.1% or 20.7 million US dollars (from 34.5 to 55.3 million US dollars ), plastic waste, cuttings and scrap – an increase by 12.4 times or 12.8 million US dollars (from 1.1 to 13.9 million US dollars ), cyanides – an increase by 4.5 times or 6.6 million US dollars (from 1.9 to 8.5 million US dollars ).
The main goods exported from Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries are: iron ores and concentrates – 284.9 million US dollars (with a share of 10%), ores and precious metal concentrates – 259.8 million US dollars (9.1%), copper ores and concentrates – 169,9 million US dollars (6%), uranium – 161.6 million US dollars (5.7%), non-alloyed steel clad flat-rolled articles – 144,2 million US dollars (5.1%), non-alloyed steel hot flat-rolled articles – 137.7 million US dollars (4.8%), hard coal – 125.5 million US dollars (4.4%), natural gas – 104.7 million US dollar (3.7%), non-alloyed steel cold flat-rolled articles – 102,3 mln. USD (3.6%), rolling stock components – 73.1 million US dollars (2,6%). Imports to Kazakhstan from the EAEU countries in January – July 2020 decreased by 7.5% and amounted to 7.6 billion US dollars.
The reduction in imports from the EAEU countries is justified by a decrease in the import of such goods as pipes and tubes welded from ferrous metals – by 69.6% or 80,9 million US dollars (from 116.3 to 35.4 million US dollars ), freight railway carriages or tram cars – by 60.8% or 76 million US dollars (from 125.0 to 49.0 million US dollars ), trucks – by 74.7% or 55.3 million US dollars (from 74.0 to 18.8 million US dollars ), passenger cars – by 23.1% or 52.6 million US dollars (from 227.7 to 175.1 million US dollars ), tractors and truck trailers – by 49.5% or 38.5 million US dollars (from 77.8 to 39.3 million US dollars ), seamless ferrous pipes, tubes and profiles – by 29.7% or 38.1 million US dollars (from 128.3 to 90.2 million US dollars ), machines and mechanisms for harvesting and threshing crops – by 37.3% or 29.5 million US dollars (from 79.0 to 49.5 million US dollars ).
At the same time, there is an increase in imports of such goods as: gold (including gold with platinum electroplating) raw or semi-finished or in powder form – by 54.6% or by 56 million US dollars (from 102.5 to 158.5 million US dollars ), car bodies – by 77.5% or 47.3 million US dollars (from 61.0 to 108.2 million US dollars ), sugar – by 60.9% or 36 million US dollars (from 59.1 to 95.0 million US dollars ), rapeseed – an increase by 14 times or 28.2 million US dollars (from 2.2 to 30.4 million US dollars ), wheat – an increase by 4.7 times or 28.2 million US dollars (from 7.6 to 35.8 million US dollars ).
The main imports to Kazakhstan from the EAEU countries are: natural gas – 199.6 million US dollars (with a share of 2.6%), oil products – 198.5 million US dollars (2.6%), ores and precious metal concentrates – 193.5 million US dollars (2.6%), passenger cars – 175,1 million US dollars USD (2.3%), gold (including gold plated with platinum), raw or semi-finished, or in powder form – 158,5 million US dollars (2.1%), tires – 128.6 million US dollars (1.7%), non-alloyed steel semi-finished articles – 117,6 mln. USD (1.6%) components and accessories for cars and tractors – 112.3 million US dollars (1.5%).
