QazTrade held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Kazakhstan, Mohamad Fadjrul Rahman
During the visit, the parties discussed the deepening of trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Indonesia. Special attention was paid to expanding the export of Kazakhstani agricultural products, as well as certification and mutual recognition of halal standards in both countries’ markets.
“Indonesia shows strong interest in importing meat and other agricultural products from Kazakhstan. We look forward to strengthening cooperation and increasing mutual trade to 1 billion USD,” said Ambassador Mohamad Fadjrul Rahman.
The parties also agreed to accelerate the certification of Kazakhstani products for the Indonesian market and to prepare exporters for participation in Halal Expo and Expo Indonesia.
“We see genuine interest from Indonesia in Kazakhstani exports. Our goal is to help local companies realize this potential. QazTrade has already started preparing accelerator participants for Indonesian exhibitions,” emphasized Ainur Amirbekova, Managing Director of the national export development operator QazTrade.
Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Indonesia were established 32 years ago. In 2024, trade turnover between the two countries reached 400 million USD, an increase of 13% compared to the previous year. The signing of a Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia is expected to double this figure.
