Kazakhstan has entered China’s largest marketplace

Kazakhstan has officially entered one of China’s largest e-commerce platforms — JD.com — by launching the National Pavilion of Kazakhstan. The initiative is led by the national export development operator QazTrade, with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The National Pavilion allows Kazakhstani companies to showcase their products on a unified storefront, promote themselves on behalf of the country, receive support in negotiations with the Chinese side, and access demand analytics and assistance from representatives in China.

“Opening a store on JD.com is no easy task. Many entrepreneurs have tried, but faced bureaucracy, technical requirements, and lack of marketing. The National Pavilion solves these problems — we are entering as a unified front,” said Aitmukhammed Aldazharov, CEO of QazTrade.

JD.com is the second-largest marketplace in China and one of the most demanding platforms in terms of product quality and seller reputation. It serves the premium segment and is oriented toward end consumers (B2C), earning trust through strict logistics, product verification, and high positioning. For Kazakhstani companies, it’s more than just an opportunity to sell — it’s a chance to enter the trusted zone of the Chinese consumer.

To participate in the project, Kazakhstani companies must meet several mandatory requirements: a registered trademark in China, inclusion in the General Administration of Customs’ importer registry, a distribution rights letter, and high-quality packaging with Chinese labeling that meets the platform’s standards.

“We don’t just help bring products to market — we help companies become competitive. The Chinese market is vast and complex, and without systematic support, it’s difficult to break through. We invite Kazakhstani companies to apply for participation in the project,” QazTrade emphasizes.
