Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Forum in Karachi: First Major $10 Million Deal Signed
The Kazakhstan-Pakistan business forum held in the city of Karachi served as a key platform for expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The forum featured presentations of Kazakhstan’s export potential, panel sessions, and over 150 B2B meetings between entrepreneurs.
The dynamic nature of the forum was enhanced by the participation of business representatives ready to make real deals and build long-term partnerships. During the event, a number of commercial agreements were signed, including a $10 million contract between Kazakhstan’s Optima Development and Pakistan’s Friesland Campina Engro.
The agreement covers the supply of natural dehydrated milk fat that has passed all laboratory tests in Kazakhstan. The product is used in the food industry, particularly in dairy and confectionery production.
“We see this agreement as the beginning of a large-scale partnership. Kazakhstani entrepreneurs are clearly following the President’s external economic course aimed at developing strategic relations with Pakistan. I am confident that in the coming years, the volume of bilateral trade will continue to grow,” said Zhanat Basanov, General Director of LLP “Optima Development”.
He also emphasized that Kazakhstani entrepreneurs are committed to the strategic partnership course set by the President and expressed confidence in further trade growth.
The forum in Karachi became another important step in strengthening economic ties, opening new markets, and promoting Kazakhstani products abroad.
