Entrepreneurs of the city of Shymkent were presented with measures of state support for non-commodity exports at an online seminar held on March 12 by QazTrade experts together with KazakhExport, QazIndustry, Qazpatent and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.
The seminar was opened by the Chief Manager of the Project Development Department of QazTrade JSC Aizhan Mukataeva, who invited business representatives to take part in programs to enter foreign markets. This includes export acceleration, access to electronic trading platforms, participation in trade and economic missions, international exhibitions, reimbursement of part of the costs of transportation and promotion of products.
For example, the program “Export Acceleration” helps Kazakh non-commodity companies effectively develop foreign markets. In 2023, 111 enterprises from the food, light, chemical, mechanical engineering and service sectors were able to take part in this program. On March 1, 2024, receiving applications for the export acceleration program and promotion to Alibaba electronic trading platform began; it will last until March 31.
Director of the International Integration Department of QazTrade JSC Ainur Amirbekova informed the seminar participants about the existing educational center for training exporters QazTradeAcademy. QazTradeAcademy is very popular among entrepreneurs in various sectors of the economy, from artisans to large business owners, from theoreticians to customs brokers.
The educational portal QazTradeAcademy covers all areas of international trade and export, providing the opportunity to obtain up-to-date knowledge in a convenient online format.
In total, during the existence of the educational center, 3 004 Kazakh representatives of SMEs and specialists in the field of foreign trade have been certified, of which 1692 are women (56%). At the same time, 29 offline seminars were held in 17 cities of Kazakhstan. 49 webinars have been uploaded to the online platform qaztradeacademy.kz as part of the Smart Export business workshop, as well as 9 specialized modular courses.
At the end of the presentation, Ainur Amirbekova invited the entrepreneurs to participate in a 4-day online marathon from March 12 to 15, organized within the QazTradeAcademy platform, as a result of which exporters will receive international certificates for successfully completing courses in international trade and export. Previously, similar knowledge marathons were held for entrepreneurs in the cities of Astana (February 27-March 1) and Almaty (March 5-7).
In addition, during the seminar, a representative of Qazpatent informed about the peculiarities of registering trademarks, and a representative of QazIndustry listed the current incentive measures for industrial enterprises.
In total, by the end of 2024, another 16 seminars and online marathons will be held to train exporters in all regions of Kazakhstan, including regional centers.
