The participation of companies in the exhibition is provided within the framework of service support for exporters by a single operator of state support for exports – “QazTrade” JSC.
The 29th International Exhibition of Food, Beverages and Raw Materials for their Production “PRODEXPO-2022” has started in Moscow today.
The PRODEXPO exhibition is one of the ten largest food-related exhibitions in the world. Traditionally, manufacturers of foodstuffs from all over the world are presented at it: from basic products and drinks for every day to exquisite delicacies, as well as organic, sports, functional nutrition, for a healthy lifestyle, halal, kosher, exotic products.
The Republic of Kazakhstan is represented for the first time by a single national stand at this exhibition, as well as by a Partner Country of the exhibition. Opening the Kazakhstan National Stand, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev noted that the new format of participation “provides Kazakh companies with more opportunities for more effective promotion and recognition of domestic products.”
The participants of the Kazakhstan National Stand were 20 companies-manufacturers of such goods as: honey products, confectionery, pasta, flour and confectionery products, salt, soft drinks, juices and beer, ice cream, vegetable oils. Producers and processors of vegetable products (cucumbers, tomatoes, an extensive line of salad products, fruit processing, fruit puree, apple cider vinegar, etc.) also present their products at the exhibition.
The enterprises represent Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Turkestan and Pavlodar regions, as well as the cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent.
During all the days of the exhibition (February 7-11), B2B meetings of Kazakhstani companies with Russian retail chains, distributors and wholesale purchasing companies will be held.
As Azamat Askaruly, General Director of QazTrade JSC, commented, “the potential for exporting agricultural products and food products has not been realized in Kazakhstan’s bilateral trade with Russia. Our products are famous all over the world for their high quality and environmentally friendly composition. The participation of Kazakhstani producers in PRODEXPO, one of the world’s largest exhibition venues, is an opportunity to expand trade relations with Russia specifically in the export of food products.”
This year, Russia is one of the export destinations within the framework of the Export Acceleration-2022 program.

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia in January-November 2021 amounted to $ 21.8 billion, which is 29.6% higher than in the same period of the previous year ($16.8 billion). Exports from Kazakhstan to Russia in January-November 2021 increased by 38.5% and amounted to 6.3 billion US dollars. The main export goods from Kazakhstan to Russia are: iron ores and concentrates, flat rolled products made of hot-rolled unalloyed steel, flat rolled products made of clad unalloyed steel, ores and concentrates of precious metals, flat rolled products made of cold-rolled unalloyed steel, waste and scrap of ferrous metals, coal, aluminum oxides and hydroxides, natural gas.
