As part of the Nauryz celebrations, a fair of domestic producers is taking place at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) EXPO site, with the support of the Astana City Administration and QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center.

The event brings together more than 40 manufacturers and clothing designers from across the country. Participants include representatives from the Atyrau, Abai, East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Akmola, and Kostanay regions, as well as the city of Astana and other regions of Kazakhstan.

The fair features a wide range of locally produced goods, including meat and dairy products, cheeses, kumis, talqan, tara, honey-based products, and other value-added agricultural goods.

Among the participants are well-known Kazakhstani brands:

* Dala Dami KZ — traditional talqan-based products
* Qazaq Apple — chocolate-covered apples
* Becker — meat products
* Moya Ferma — kurt, butter, and kefir
* Bizhan — meat products
* Daulet — confectionery

Special attention from visitors was drawn to kumis from different regions of the country, as well as traditional products made from talqan and tara—classic Kazakh foods made from ground grains. Product demonstrations and tastings sparked strong interest among both residents and visitors of the capital, offering them a deeper insight into Kazakhstan’s cultural and culinary traditions.

“In today’s world, there is growing demand for functional foods and superfoods, and the traditional Kazakh diet fits this demand perfectly. Kurt is rich in beneficial micronutrients, while tara and talqan are becoming increasingly recognized among international consumers during trade missions and global exhibitions. Traditional steppe cuisine is selling well and is in demand through Kazakh restaurant and café chains abroad. For example, the well-known tara cappuccino—a kind of ‘ground steppe coffee’—is already appearing in the United States. It is a simple, affordable, and functional product,” said Ainur Amirbekova, Managing Director of QazTrade.

The official opening of the fair was attended by Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Erlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The fair runs for three days and has become part of the festive program for residents and visitors of the capital.

Among the participants is the brand Qazaq Apple, which is taking part in an event of this scale for the first time. The company is receiving support through QazTrade’s export development tools and presented its original product—chocolate-covered apples—which attracted significant attention from visitors.

Products from the Oilseed Association also saw high demand. Thanks to competitive pricing, most of their products sold out during the first days of the fair. Members of the association are also supported through QazTrade’s acceleration program aimed at developing export potential.

As noted by Ainur Amirbekova, Managing Director of QazTrade, such exhibitions play an important role in promoting Kazakhstani brands and increasing public awareness of domestic products. The Nauryz fair not only enhances the festive atmosphere but also serves as an effective platform for supporting businesses and promoting traditional Kazakh cuisine and functional food products.
