The first business workshop for entrepreneurs «Smart Export» has come to the end. Over the course of 8 days, more than 200 existing and potential exporting companies got acquainted with various aspects of export activities. 19 webinars were held by 23 international and Kazakhstani speakers.
As noted in QazTrade, the training program was drawn up after interviewing exporters and analyzing their needs.
During the training, the speakers revealed the intricacies of doing business in China and the countries of Southeast Asia, talked about the conditions for entering the European Union market for food and industrial products, which is rightfully considered one of the most difficult, and at the same time, attractive for our manufacturers.
The program included such skills for conducting foreign trade as preparing and conducting negotiations with B2B buyers, issues of export logistics, calculating transport costs and choosing the best route. Legal aspects of export activities, issues of protection of intellectual property and labeling of goods, which were considered by leading experts of Kazakhstan, remain important for exporters.
After completing the educational program, companies will be able to independently develop an export strategy at the enterprise level, as well as conduct preliminary marketing research of potential sales markets using TradeMap and Global Trade Helpdesk.
Within the framework of proactive learning, not only successful cases were considered, but also the most frequent mistakes made when entering foreign markets by suppliers of goods and services.
«Our goal was not just to hold seminars, but to get feedback from business, their assessment of the information received, its relevance and usefulness,» – commented the General Director of QazTrade Azamat Askaruly.
According to him, all QazTrade Academy programs are based on the principle «find out what exporters need and teach exactly this».
– «Our task is to be helpful to exporters. Therefore, we not only check every step we take with the business, we consult with it before choosing directions: where and how to move. This applies not only to training, but also to the development of measures for other business support, the formation of market reviews, country profiles, the choice of directions for trade and economic missions, etc. Without such a close connection, there will be no result. And the Head of State set a task – to double the volume of non-resource exports by 2025» – Askaruly said.
Entrepreneurs gave their assessment to the conducted business workshop.
As the representative of Araltuz JSC Rakymzhan Ilyas noted: «Excellent and informative workshop! A lot of useful and necessary information! Following the results of the first Smart Export business workshop, many exporters expressed a desire to conduct such training also in an offline format, on a regular basis, as well as to orient future workshops to the needs and demands of various sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan. As QazTrade assured, these wishes will be taken into account when organizing further training for Kazakhstani manufacturers.
