March 11, 2022. «QazTrade» JSC together with the Akimat of Zhambyl region held of the Regional Export Council with the participation of export-oriented companies.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development of Zhambyl region Aspandiyar Seisebaev, Director of the Project Development Department of «QazTrade» JSC Aibek Sagynaev and deputy Director of the Insurance Department of Export Insurance Company «KazakhExport» JSC Almaz Nurgaliyev.
Zhambyl region, which has the potential of both industrial and agricultural regions, has been showing stable growth in almost all sectors of the economy for several years.
The share of the chemical industry in the industry is more than 20%. The basis of the chemical sector of the region is the extraction of phosphorus-containing raw materials and the production of phosphorus-containing products, including mineral fertilizers.
In addition, the region occupies a leading position in the republic in the production of safflower, melons and vegetables, corn, barley, meat, wool and skins.
The turnover of processed products in the Zhambyl region last year amounted to 560.4 million US dollars, which is 43.1% more than the same period in 2020. The volume of non-commodity exports of the region increased by 21.2%, amounting to 154.7 million US dollars.
Fertilizers, distillates, ferrosilicomanganese, sodium cyanide and cement account for the main share in the export structure.
Aibek Sagynaev presented the exporting enterprises of the region with the opportunities of a «single window» for exporters and spoke about the measures planned by the state in terms of export support.
The business community of the region was presented in detail the available support tools: reimbursement of part of the export costs, export acceleration, introduction to electronic trading platforms, service support measures and training in export activities.
Currently, «QazTrade» JSC is accepting applications for participation in the Export Acceleration Program and entry to the Alibaba electronic trading platform.
1) «Export Acceleration-2022» – a practice-oriented program that provides full support for the company (training, diagnostics, development of an export strategy, marketing promotion, ensuring the company’s participation in exhibitions), as well as finding a reliable buyer and concluding an export contract.
In 2022, 190 enterprises in industries such as engineering, chemical, light and food industries, as well as service providers will be selected to participate in this program.
Target markets for targeted promotion of Kazakhstani products under the program are the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Since the launch of the program in 2020, participating companies have entered into long-term export contracts for the supply of domestic products to the markets of the Russian Federation, China and Central Asian countries in the amount of about $150 million.

2) Entering Kazakh business to the Alibaba.com international marketplace.
In 2022, 70 Kazakhstani suppliers of non-commodity products will be selected for listing on Alibaba.com.
Currently, 4,000 domestic products are available on Alibaba.com for international partners.
Since the start of the program in 2019, the owners of «gold accounts» have concluded export contracts worth more than $120 million.
