«Qatar for Kazakhstan will be able to become one of the most important trading partners among the countries of the Persian Gulf. In recent years, there has been an increase in mutual trade between Kazakhstan and the countries of the region. Thus, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the Persian Gulf countries in 2021 amounted to 728.1 million US dollars, which is 49.2% more than in 2020 (488.0 million US dollars). Exports amounted to 648.2 million US dollars, which is 261.4 million US dollars or 67.6% more than in 2020».
The General Director of QazTrade also presented the potential for increasing the export of Kazakh products to Qatar.
«The mutual trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Qatar is also growing, amounting to $ 13.5 million. Considering the positive dynamics of export growth from Kazakhstan, according to preliminary calculations, the export potential to Qatar is about 235 million US dollars. Kazakhstan can and is ready to supply products of the metallurgical, machine-building, petrochemical and food industries to Qatar.
In the short and medium term, food sales in Qatar continue to show steady growth, as income recovery and improved macroeconomics stimulate household spending. It should be noted that Kazakhstani food products are distinguished by excellent taste, environmental friendliness, reasonable price, and also have Halal certification».
It is worth noting that with the support of QazTrade, domestic entrepreneurs have already successfully exported sausages and lamb meat to Qatar. Export deliveries of meat, honey and confectionery from new Kazakhstani companies are expected soon.
