On March 3, a meeting of the Regional Export Council (REC) was held with the participation of more than 40 export-oriented companies, the First Deputy Akim of the region Mukhtar Mankeyev, Director-General of «QazTrade» JSC Azamat Askaruly and representatives of KazakhExport.
There are 45 active exporters in West Kazakhstan region. The volume of exports in 2020 was $3.9 billion. Goods and services are exported to more than 100 countries of the world. The main volume of exports falls on non-CIS countries, such as Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Greece and France.
Last year, 11 exporting companies of the region received reimbursement of part of export costs for 205 million tenge. Last year, two enterprises from the West Kazakhstan region participated in the Export Acceleration Program («Nurzhanar» JSC and «Kubley» LLP). In 2019-2020, three companies of the region («Nurzhanar» JSC, «Kubley» LLP, «Qazaqstantrade» LLP) received a «Gold Supplier» account on the Alibaba platform.
Currently, Kazakhstan has more than 15 tools to support exporters.
Azamat Askaruly said that since this year almost all of them are concentrated in QazTrade.
«QazTrade is an operator for the development and promotion of non-resource exports. The Company concentrates almost all tools to support producers of domestic products, from diagnosing the company and assessing its export capabilities to providing quality analytics and consulting services. Since this year the company is also engaged in reimbursement of exporters’ costs.»– said А. Askaruly
According to him, since this year, almost all tools are digitized and transferred online – they can be obtained on the export.gov.kz portal.
In addition, for the convenience of entrepreneurs, @qaztradebot Telegram-bot has been launched. «All information about export support by topics is concentrated here: how to get into the «Export Acceleration» program, get reimbursement of costs or other financial measures to support exporter, information on promotion to electronic platforms or public procurement. Here you can also leave your appeal or ask a question», – A. Askaruly informed the entrepreneurs of the region.
Another channel of communication is the already familiar to many exporters is @exportgov Telegram-chat, which started working with the start of the pandemic.
«Our task as a division providing support to exporters is to respond promptly to all problematic situations that arise for you, the exporters. Regional Export Councils, I am sure, will help to establish close contacts between the entrepreneurial sector of our country and export development institutes. All this, in the end, should contribute to uninterrupted deliveries of domestic products to foreign markets.»
Mukhtar Mankeyev noted the importance of the event for exporters in the region, and urged to actively use the tools to support domestic producers.
«The main purpose of today’s event is to explain the main mechanisms of support for exporters, carried out through «QazTrade» JSC and «KazakExport» ESC» JSC, as well as to discuss the problematic issues of exporters and assistance in solving them.
We are happy that in 2020, changes were introduced in the mechanism to support exporters, in terms of increasing the amount of reimbursable costs from 30% to 80%, depending on the redistribution of goods, which encourages manufacturers to produce and export goods with high added value.
According to the results of 2020, the West-Kazakhstan region is in the 3rd place in the country by the number of submitted and approved applications, this year we also hope that entrepreneurs of the region will actively participate in this program, which in turn will contribute to the growth of exports.”
Because of the Regional Export Council, regional producers and traders who export Kazakhstan products discussed with QazTrade representatives the barriers and problematic issues they face in exporting and provided their suggestions to current problems.
