On May 25, this year, an online business forum with the participation of more than 30 companies from the two countries was held within the framework of the upcoming 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Kazakhstan’s business was represented by manufacturers of goods and services in such industries as: construction of railways and highways, modernization of heating networks, renewal of urban transport infrastructure and the food industry.
On the Armenian side, companies in the field of construction, food products and consulting took part.
Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebayev, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Narek Teryan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia Bolat Imanbayev, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Kazakhstan addressed the official part of the business forum on further strengthening of the Kazakh-Armenian economic cooperation, Artur Manaseryan, Charge d’affaires of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Andranik Aleksanyan, Director of the Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the forum, JSC ” NC “Kazakhexport” and JSC ” NC “Kazakh Invest” acquainted entrepreneurs of the two countries with the possibilities of state support measures provided for the promotion of Kazakhstani goods in foreign markets.
During the forum, the parties agreed on the need to deepen business cooperation between the two countries. It was decided to hold a business forum in Almaty in the second half of October this year with the maximum involvement of interested entrepreneurs from both countries.
