In Minsk, as part of a trade and economic mission, documents were signed aimed at expanding trade cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan and the Director General of QazTrade, who are on a working visit to Belarus.
The agreement between QazTrade and the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange provides for the exchange of experience, participation of Kazakhstani companies in exchange trading, the development of electronic platforms and joint events. The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange is the largest spot trading platform in the region, where more than 500,000 transactions worth over USD 4 billion are concluded annually, and companies from 80 countries operate.
The memorandum between QazTrade and the National Marketing Centre of Belarus envisages the exchange of analytical information, joint partner search, support for product promotion, and the organisation of business missions and seminars. The document makes the work of companies in both countries more interconnected and facilitates producers’ entry into new markets.
These documents became the key outcome of Kazakhstan’s trade and economic mission to Minsk, organised by the Ministry of Trade and Integration in cooperation with QazTrade.
QazTrade Director General Aitmukhammed Aldazharov emphasised that the new agreements create additional opportunities for the growth of mutual trade:
“Kazakhstan and Belarus have significant potential for cooperation. It is important for us to expand supplies, open new niches and strengthen business interaction.”
The statistics confirm this interest. In January–August 2025, trade turnover increased by 19.9% and reached USD 739.5 million. Kazakhstan’s exports to Belarus grew by 55.2% to USD 183.2 million, largely due to furniture, cosmetics, hair-care products, calcium phosphates and rolling stock. Imports from Belarus amount to USD 556.3 million, with key items including cheese, dairy products, tractors, meat products, petroleum products and construction materials.
A separate block of negotiations was devoted to industrial cooperation. To date, 11 joint projects have already been implemented, ranging from tractors and agricultural machinery to lifts and automotive equipment. New areas were discussed, such as the assembly of mining dump trucks, expanding cooperation in the construction sector, as well as agribusiness projects, including the establishment of dairy-commodity complexes.
Within the framework of the trade and economic mission in Minsk, new arrangements were also concluded between the businesses of the two countries. AstanaInzhKomStroy LLP signed a memorandum with Izokom Plast LLC on the supply of goods and the launch of joint production of reinforced pipes in Kazakhstan. ARBA WINE LLP is holding negotiations with the Bulbash plant on the supply of Kazakhstani wine, with an export contract being prepared. The National Association of Oilseed Processors signed a memorandum of cooperation with PrimeFortGroup LLC, as well as a trade agreement with Dary poley plyus LLC for the purchase of products from association members worth USD 5 million.
The mission in Minsk strengthened the economic dialogue and confirmed the readiness of both sides to expand business participation, enhance logistical connectivity and launch new cooperation projects.
