The first meeting of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Council was held on August 24 2022, as part of President of Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev’s official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the site of the Business Council, the General Director of QazTrade JSC A. Askaruly signed a memorandum of understanding with the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, aimed at deepening trade and economic relations. The parties also agreed to design a Roadmap, which will include activities on finding new areas of cooperation and improving the conditions for interaction between economic entities of the two countries.
At the same time, QazTrade, in cooperation with domestic companies participating in the Export Acceleration Program, Maslo-Del LLP and Cool Infinity LLP, signed two tripartite documents totalling $ 11 million with “Tayqa Trade” of Veliyev Nahid Abbas oglu and “Foodcity Alliance” LLC for the supply of oil, fat and related products and refrigerator cars.
As a result of the June trade and economic mission, 9 export contracts worth $38.7 million of Kazakhstani products were signed.
Negotiations continue on the further supply of Kazakh ferrosilicon, fertilizers, and food products to the Azerbaijani market.
