The operator of state support for exporters QazTrade and the Astana International Financial Center begin cooperation in the trade sphere
August 26, 2021 General Director of JSC «QazTrade» Azamat Askaruly and Chairman of the Board of the Administration of the International Financial Center Astana Yernur Rysmagambetov in the presence of the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Sultanov and the Governor of the International Financial Center «Astana» K. Kelimbetov signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The document defined the format and directions of cooperation to promote domestic products in foreign markets.
QazTrade and the AIFC agreed to exchange analytical and expert developments of QazTrade and the AIFC in a wide range of areas: foreign economic activity, e-commerce, exchange trading, access to international electronic platforms.
Thus, one of the areas of cooperation will be the development of joint initiatives to develop e-commerce and cashless economy in Kazakhstan. In particular, QazTrade will provide consulting and analytical support for the marketplace products and residents of the Accelerator Program Fintech Hub.
Particular attention is paid to the development of the AIFC commodity exchange. QazTrade and Astana International Trade Center announced the possibility of synchronizing work on collecting data on trade in goods and their supply chains, as well as other information and analytical work as part of the development of a commodity exchange in the AIFC. QazTrade will also assist the Center in establishing contacts with exporters and importers.
One of the areas of cooperation will be interaction on the development of cross-border trade.
– We agreed to jointly work on recommendations for improving infrastructure and trade procedures at the cross-border trade and logistics hubs «Khorgos», ICTEC «Central Asia» and others. This is very important, considering the course of Kazakhstan on the creation of border industrial complexes. Many investors, including foreign ones, will be attracted by the opportunity to work in such hubs precisely on the terms of the AIFC, – said the General Director of QazTrade JSC Azamat Askaruly.
Another area of cooperation will be the promotion of products of participants in acceleration programs in foreign markets, including through the opening of joint representative offices and trading houses abroad. China is considered a priority market.
