The acceptance of applications for participation in “Export Acceleration-2022” and withdrawal to Аlibaba.com export support and promotion programs has begun.
On January 25, the reception of applications from representatives of small and medium-sized businesses for participation in the EXPORT ACCELERATION-2022 programs and withdrawal to the electronic trading platform ALIBABA.COM officially started.
The programs are part of a large toolkit of state support to Kazakhstani exporters. The operator of the programs is JSC “QazTrade”.
Today, QazTrade together with the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan held an introductory webinar, which was attended by about 150 entrepreneurs interested in participating in the Programs.
Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev noted the high performance of the participating companies over the past years: “It is important to note that long-term contracts for the supply of domestic products to the markets of the Russian Federation, China and Central Asian countries have been concluded as part of Export Acceleration. In addition, the scale of digital platforms is gaining momentum every year. And cooperation with one of the major international trading platforms is very important for Kazakhstani suppliers.”
Azamat Askaruly, General Director of QazTrade JSC, also stressed that these programs have become a kind of safety cushion in the pandemic and post-pandemic periods. “Over the past years, we have already formed a productive cooperation. Since the launch of the Export Acceleration program in 2020, participating companies have made export contracts worth about $150 million. Thanks to the marketplace withdrawal program to Alibaba.com 150 Kazakhstani companies have the opportunity to remotely offer their goods to customers from all over the world. The total sales have already amounted to about $ 125 million,” Azamat Askaruly said.
As part of the webinar, representatives of domestic business shared their successful experience of participating in the programs.
Thus, the producer of feed supplements and honey exporters said that thanks to participation in the programs, they were able to increase supplies to their traditional export markets (including the EAEU countries, Central Asia, China, South Korea, the USA, Mongolia), and also established trade relations with new markets: Cyprus, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain.
Also, commodity producers noted that through the platform Alibaba.com there are a lot of applications from the regions of Africa and America. However, deliveries there are complicated by logistics problems. The companies turned to QazTrade with a request to strengthen the direction of logistics support.
Exporting entrepreneurs were interested in the conditions of technical regulation in foreign markets and the provision of state support for obtaining certificates and standards of conformity in foreign markets.
Since January 24, QazTrade employees have also been holding online Road Shows with regions. At the moment, road shows have already been held in Atyrau, Myngystau, Kyzylorda, Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions. During the meetings, QazTrade specialists will introduce the program, its advantages, talk about how the analysis of the potential of enterprises and their goods will be carried out, how support will be provided in the selection of the sales market and the search for buyers.
190 enterprises in such industries as mechanical engineering, chemical, light and food industries, as well as service providers will be selected for the EXPORT ACCELERATION-2022 program. The target markets are the Russian Federation, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As part of the program to withdraw to Alibaba.com the winners will be given a “Golden Account” on Alibaba.com for a period of 1 year. This status gives suppliers a great advantage: to create an image of a trusted supplier, allowing them to sell goods faster and more efficiently on the platform. Such suppliers have access to comprehensive methods of promoting their products and services, a wide audience coverage. The rating shows that Gold Supplier suppliers receive many times more orders than ordinary users of the platform.
