Since the beginning of the year, 20 meetings of the Regional Export Councils have been held
The main task of the Regional Export Councils is to establish direct contact between representatives of the business community with authorized state bodies and export development institutions. This interaction provides the ability to quickly respond to all emerging problem situations.
Since January 2021, 20 meetings of the Regional Export Councils have already taken place, including 7 of them were held offline. They were organized by QazTrade and local executive bodies.
Over the past REC, representatives of QazTrade have visited more than 100 companies, and about 400 both existing and potential exporters have become participants in REC.
The meetings were also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC «ESC» KazakhExport», regional chambers of entrepreneurship, local executive bodies responsible for the development and promotion of regional exports.
Representatives of QazTrade during REC present in detail the available support tools (reimbursement of part of the export costs, export acceleration, introduction to electronic trading platforms, training in export activities, participation in trade and economic missions) of domestic entrepreneurs and discuss problematic issues on export issues.
Thanks to the information received, entrepreneurs can more actively engage in various programs for the development of export-oriented industries and export support. Thus, in particular, companies were informed about the Export Acceleration Program, and applications for participation in it were received from more than 500 companies from all regions of Kazakhstan (101 companies were selected as a result of the selection).
Also, the intensification of the participation of Kazakhstani entrepreneurs – participants of the REC – in training seminars organized by QazTrade is noted. For example, in the Smart Export business practice.
During regional export councils, as well as visits to exporting companies, domestic manufacturers expressed their wishes in terms of organizing training on the most popular topics in terms of conducting export activities. Realizing the importance of increasing the competencies and skills of Kazakhstani exporters during the “rapidly changing” conditions of trade, a practice-oriented intensive was organized from 18 to 27 October with the participation of more than 200 exporters’ representatives.
By the end of the year, it is planned to hold 3 more regional export councils.
