Entrepreneurs of Pavlodar Region Got Acquainted with the Tools of State Support for Exporters
Entrepreneurs of Pavlodar region were presented with measures of state support for non-commodity exports at an online seminar held on July 30 by QazTrade experts together with KazakhExport, QazIndustry, Qazpatent and the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.
During the seminar, Aybar Taishikov, Director of the SME Export Acceleration Department, Alua Karabayeva, Expert of the E-commerce Department, as well as Assel Baibolova and Zhuldyz Kashayeva, Deputy Directors of the Department of Service Support for Exporters, spoke about programs for entering foreign markets (export acceleration) and entering electronic trading platforms (Alibaba, etc.), as well as participation in trade and economic missions and international exhibitions.
The presentation was continued by Anton Kramarenko, Deputy Director of the Department for Providing Compensation to Exporters (reimbursement of part of the cost of transportation and promotion of products).
By the way, the Export Acceleration Program helps Kazakhstan’s non-commodity companies to effectively enter foreign markets. In 2023, 111 enterprises of the food, light, chemical, mechanical and service industries were able to participate in this program. From March 1 to the end of April of this year, applications for participation in the export acceleration and promotion in the Alibaba platform programs were accepted.
In turn, Sayat Ashimov, coordinator of the QazTradeAcademy Educational Center for Exporters, informed the seminar participants about the advantages of this support measure. QazTradeAcademy is very popular among entrepreneurs from various sectors of the economy, from artisans to large business owners, from theoretical specialists to customs brokers.
The QazTradeAcademy educational portal covers many areas of international trade and export, providing an opportunity to obtain up-to-date knowledge in a convenient online format.
In total, during the existence of the educational center, 3246 Kazakhstani representatives of SMEs and specialists in the field of foreign trade were certified, of which 2240 are women (69%). At the same time, 29 offline seminars were held in 17 cities of Kazakhstan. On the qaztradeacademy.kz online platform, there are 49 webinars as part of the Smart Export Business Workshop, as well as 13 specialized modular courses.
At the end of the presentation, Sayat Ashimov invited the participants of the seminar to participate in a 4-day online marathon from 30 July to August 2, organized within the framework of the QazTradeAcademy platform, as a result of which exporters will receive international certificates on successful completion of courses on international trade and export. In general, similar knowledge marathons are held every week for entrepreneurs in the country’s regions.
In addition, during the seminar, the representative of Qazpatent spoke about the particularities of trademark registration, and the representative of QazIndustry talked about the current measures to encourage industrial enterprises.
In total, during 2024, 5 more seminars and online marathons will be held to train exporters of regions of Kazakhstan.
